Inclusive Peacebuilding for Marginalized Communities Training Course
Introduction
Sustainable peace cannot be achieved without actively including and empowering those who have historically been marginalized, disproportionately affected by conflict, and often excluded from peace processes. This 5-day training course on Inclusive Peacebuilding for Marginalized Communities offers a critical examination of the dynamics that perpetuate exclusion and provides participants with the essential knowledge and practical strategies to foster genuinely inclusive peacebuilding initiatives. Participants will gain a deep understanding of how to identify and address the specific needs, vulnerabilities, and unique contributions of diverse marginalized groups, ensuring that peace efforts are equitable, legitimate, and truly representative of all segments of society.
This intensive program is designed for peacebuilding practitioners, humanitarian and development professionals, government officials, civil society leaders, and community organizers working in or preparing for roles in conflict-affected and post-conflict settings. It will equip attendees with analytical tools to assess patterns of exclusion, develop participatory methodologies that amplify marginalized voices, and advocate for policies and programs that promote social justice and human rights. By fostering a commitment to inclusive approaches, this course aims to empower participants to challenge systemic inequalities and build sustainable peace that leaves no one behind.
