Organic Farming Course

INTRODUCTION

Organic farming is a viable economic move which benefits the farm soil, the environment, and purchasers of the produce. With organic farming presenting a low input way of farming, it makes the land sustainable as it doesn’t result in land degradation like other production methods; hence the long-term cost of sustaining production is less and there is a growing demand from the consumers of organic produce. With the growing demand for organic produce, this course will equip you on how to produce organically and maintaining the environment sustainably for future generations.

This course is intended for various actors in the Agriculture Extension (Agricultural extension officers, senior agricultural officials, and policymakers) working with communities, in governments, funding agencies, Research organizations, non-government organizations, small and medium enterprises for agricultural development, farmer organizations and cooperatives and anyone who wants to learn more about organic food production, farming and environmental challenges.
