INTRODUCTION

Gender-Based Violence (GBV) is a pervasive issue that affects individuals across all societies and communities, disproportionately impacting women, girls, and marginalized groups. This 5-Day Training Course on Gender-Based Violence (GBV) aims to equip participants with a comprehensive understanding of the root causes, dynamics, and impacts of GBV, along with practical skills to prevent and respond to it.

The course focuses on the social, cultural, legal, and economic factors that contribute to GBV and explores ways to create safe and supportive environments for survivors. Participants will learn how to address GBV through awareness-raising, survivor-centered care, policy advocacy, and community engagement. Emphasis is placed on understanding the various forms of GBV (physical, emotional, sexual, economic), recognizing its effects, and developing strategies for prevention and response at both community and institutional levels.

OBJECTIVES

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
