Training On Mobile Broadband Transformation Bootcamp

INTRODUCTION

The Mobile Broadband Transformation Bootcamp is an advanced training program focused on the evolution of mobile broadband technologies from LTE to 5G. The course provides a comprehensive introduction to the technological advancements and architecture that have driven this transformation. The bootcamp outlines the progression from 3G to LTE, LTE-Advanced, and now 5G, highlighting the critical shifts in network infrastructure and capacity.

Participants are introduced to the technologies underpinning this evolution, such as Carrier Aggregation, MIMO, Software-Defined Networking (SDN), and Network Function Virtualization (NFV). The course emphasizes how these developments support new services like enhanced mobile broadband (eMBB), Internet of Things (IoT), and ultra-reliable low-latency communications (URLLC). The training also covers the pivotal role of 3GPP standards, particularly focusing on the technological enhancements from LTE to 5G, including the IMT-2020 specifications

OBJECTIVES

At the end of the course, the participants will be able to:

  • Understand the next generation system architecture
  • Reflect on 3GPP enhancements and the way forward to newer technology
  • Understand the pros and cons of LTE-Wifi Radio Level Aggregation
  • Appreciate applicable broadcast and multicast techniques
  • Understand eMTC and architecture enhancements
