Speaking Up Safely: A Foundational Course on Whistleblower Protection and Fraud Reporting

Introduction

Fostering an environment where employees feel safe and empowered to report wrongdoing is one of the most effective strategies for preventing fraud and upholding organizational integrity. A robust whistleblower program not only acts as a powerful deterrent to fraudulent behavior but also provides a critical early warning system for management. However, for such a system to work, staff must be confident that their reports will be handled with discretion, fairness, and, most importantly, without fear of retaliation. This requires a clear understanding of what constitutes a reportable offense, how to report it correctly, and the protections available to them.

This five-day training course is designed to build a culture of integrity and accountability by educating all staff on the importance of fraud reporting and the mechanisms for doing so safely. The curriculum focuses on both the practical and ethical aspects of speaking up, from understanding an organization's internal reporting channels to the legal protections available. Participants will learn how to make a formal report, the steps that follow, and the safeguards in place to protect them. This course will equip your team with the knowledge to act as guardians of organizational ethics and financial health.
